Disney Lorcana is a collectible trading card game published by Ravensburger North America featuring characters licensed from the Walt Disney Company. In Lorcana, players assemble decks of trading cards and play head-to-head using point-based cards with characters, locations, and powers to defeat their opponent. Card games that are similar to Lorcana include Magic the Gathering and the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The cards and their official designs were first revealed at the 2022 D23 Expo.
Lorcana is scheduled to be released in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France. The game will be published in the following languages: English, French, and German. The first edition of Lorcana cards is entitled “The First Chapter.”
Buying Lorcana Cards At Conventions
The first place where Lorcana cards will be available to buy by the public is at the 2023 Gen Con Indy gaming convention. Gen Con Indy will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Indiana Convention Center from August 3 to August 6, 2023.
The cards will be on sale at the Ravensburger booth at Gen Con.
To buy Lorcana cards at Gen Con, a purchase of general admission to Gen Con is required to get access to the show floor.
Ravensburger has said that they will allocate enough copies of Lorcana that the game will be available to buy on every individual day of Gen Con Indy 2023.
Where To Buy Lorcana Cards At Launch
When Lorcana is first available to the public at retail location, they will be sold at local gaming shops, called Friendly Local Game Stores (FLGS). The release date for local game stores will be September 1, 2023, ahead of wide availability.
The creators of Lorcana have said that fostering a local gaming scene oriented around Lorcana card buying, collecting, and play, is important to them and there has been speculation that Lorcana tournaments could be held at local game stores.
Which Stores Will Sell Lorcana
The game goes on sale at general retailers on September 1, 2023. Lorcana will be distributed to retail outlets by wholesalers Southern Hobby Distribution, Alliance Game Distributors, and Peachstate Hobby Distribution in the United States. Ravensburger has confirmed that the game will be available to purchase online, but has not yet confirmed the exact retailers. It is likely that Lorcana will be sold via Amazon.com.

Lorcana is expected to be also available for purchase at major retailers like Amazon, Target and Wal-Mart when it goes on sale.
Lorcana will also be available to purchase at ShopDisney.com, Walt Disney’s official shopping website.
Ravensburger has also confirmed that the game will not be available for sale via its official website.
How Much Lorcana Cards Will Cost
Ravensburger has not yet released the official U.S. prices for Lorcana cards.
The company’s Germany division has released the official prices (in Euros) for when it goes on sale there. Starter decks will cost 19.99 €, booster packs will cost 5.99 € each, gift sets will be 29.99 €, and Illumineer’s Trove packages will cost 54.99 €.
U.S. prices for Lorcana have not been officially confirmed, but the U.S. equivalent of Euro pricing would be $21.70 for starter decks, $6.50 for booster packs, $32.56 for gift sets, and $59.70 for the Illumineer’s Trove.
