Disney Lorcana Launch Date, Availability And Card Sets Revealed

Disney Lorcana is a trading card game in the style of Magic the Gathering and Pokemon using Disney characters. The card game will be produced by Ravensburger North America.

When Will Lorcana Be Available To Buy?

Lorcana will be available in friendly local game stores in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France on August 18, 2023.

Lorcana will be launched in general retail stores in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France on September 1, 2023.

Cards for Lorcana will also be released at the Gen Con convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, which will be held from  August 3 to August 6, 2023.

What Languages Will Lorcana Be Available In?

The initial launch of Lorcana will be available in the following languages: English, French, and German. The cards will be distributed via language based on geographic location. Ravensburger has said that they are working on making cards available around the world in additional languages.

Which Lorcana Cards Will Be Available At Launch?

The first set of Lorcana cards released by Ravensburger are called “The First Chapter.” The company has said it plans to release four sets of cards per year.

At launch, Lorcana will have more than 200 cards available, both included in starter decks and booster packs.

• Three different sets of starter decks will be on sale, they include: Amber and Amethyst; Emerald and Ruby; and Steel and Sapphire
• Each Lorcana deck will also has a booster pack of 12 random cards, one card will be foil, and two cards will be rare, super rare, or legendary
• Lorcana gift sets will include four standard booster packs, two oversized foil cards, two foil game cards, and game tokens

  

• The Illumineer’s Trove collectible set of Lorcana cards will include eight booster packs, two deck boxes, a player’s guide, and a storage box

  

Character cards confirmed at launch include: Elsa (Frozen), Captain Hook (Peter Pan), Robin Hood, Stitch, Cruella De Vil (101 Dalmatians), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), Simba (The Lion King), Moana, Mulan, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Aladdin, and Hades (Hercules)
