Lorcana is the collectible trading card game from Ravensburger, featuring Disney characters. In Lorcana, players (called Illumineers) race to score 20 Lore points in a contest against each other. Lorcana is played using a deck of 60 cards.
The quickest way to start playing Lorcana is by purchasing a starter pack, which will contain all the cards necessary to play a game. But players (especially those involved in tournament play) will want to customize their decks, utilizing cards of different rarities, so they end up with a Lorcana deck that reflects their preferred playing style.
Custom Lorcana decks can be built around different inks or characters or whatever interests a player. To build those decks, booster boxes with multiple booster packs of Lorcana cards can be purchased.
What’s Inside A Lorcana Booster Box
A Lorcana booster box is a box of collectible trading card game booster packs. Each Lorcana booster box has 24 booster packs of Lorcana cards inside. That means each booster box will contain a total of 288 Lorcana cards.
Each individual Lorcana booster pack has the following mix of card rarities: 6 common cards, 3 uncommon cards, 2 rare, super rare, or legendary cards, and 1 foil card.
That means that every Lorcana booster box will have 144 common cards, 72 uncommon cards, 48 rare, super rare, or legendary cards, and 24 foil cards.
Individual Lorcana booster packs have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $5.99 per pack, so a booster box of cards will cost about $144.
Where To Buy Lorcana Booster Boxes
Lorcana will be released in August 2023 at local gaming stores (LGS). Those stores will have Lorcana cards, sets, and boosters before any other stores. In September 2023, Lorcana will be available to buy from major retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
